Cornerstone Communications: Knockin’ em Back for a Good Cause 1st Annual 'Bowling Ball' Benefits CancerCare for Kids®

From high balls to gutter balls, Cornerstone Communications’ First Annual Bowling Ball Tournament raised over $2,000 for CancerCare for Kids®. On December 5, 2007, members of the media and wine educators gave their spare time at Bowlmor Lanes to support CancerCare and to battle for the title of Epicurean All-Star.
Among the many prizes awarded, the Wine Enthusiast teams - the "Cellar Dwellers" and the "Glassy Winged Sharp Shooters" - scored with the Most Spirited award. The Wine & Spirits "Jerobums" and the "I Can’t Believe its Not Gutter" Cottages & Gardens team came in second and third place, respectively. The Wine Spectator "Wild Turkeys" took home the Gold Medal for highest team score.
Cornerstone Communications President Marsha Palanci explained, "We were inspired to throw this event to honor those who have battled cancer. In particular, we wished to dedicate this event to Tony Apuzzo of AKA Wine Geek, who lost his battle with cancer this past April. Tony would have been whipping up some delicious cocktails for all of us to enjoy." Cornerstone would also like to thank all of the participants, sponsors, and vendors who donated their services and made this dedication possible.
